SBI partnered with Children’s Hospital, and Steelcase to bring the Mammel Innovation Center at Children’s Nebraska to life … a space where innovation meets compassion. Designed to inspire collaboration and creativity, the center helps clinicians develop solutions that make a real difference in children’s lives.

With immersive telehealth technology like “Ocular View,” kids in rural communities can receive care from the comfort of their homes while still feeling fully seen and supported.

This project reflects SBI’s commitment to creating healthcare spaces that nurture both people and ideas, helping families access care, clinicians innovate, and children thrive.

Hubbard Center for Children

This project highlighted the collaboration between SBI and Steelcase in delivering innovative, custom wall solutions. V.I.A. was selected as the modular wall system for its exceptional acoustical performance, setting the foundation for a high-quality, functional interior.

The space presented unique architectural features, including a 45° angled concrete floor and a continuous radiator box along the office perimeter, creating a complex installation challenge. Working closely with Steelcase, SBI developed a precision cut kit that aligned perfectly with the architectural lines, enabling a seamless installation of the V.I.A. system. The result is a visually striking, tailor-made wall solution that enhances the space while maintaining superior acoustics.
