Behavioral Health & Wellness Center

SBI partnered with Children’s Nebraska on the Behavioral Health & Wellness Center in Omaha, providing commercial furniture throughout the facility. The space was thoughtfully designed to support a wide range of pediatric mental health services, with environments that prioritize comfort, safety, and healing. Our furniture selections help create welcoming, functional spaces where patients, families, and care teams can connect and do meaningful work in support of behavioral health and wellness.

Mammel Innovation Center

SBI partnered with Children’s Hospital, and Steelcase to bring the Mammel Innovation Center at Children’s Nebraska to life … a space where innovation meets compassion. Designed to inspire collaboration and creativity, the center helps clinicians develop solutions that make a real difference in children’s lives.

With immersive telehealth technology like “Ocular View,” kids in rural communities can receive care from the comfort of their homes while still feeling fully seen and supported.

This project reflects SBI’s commitment to creating healthcare spaces that nurture both people and ideas, helping families access care, clinicians innovate, and children thrive.

West Omaha Clinic

Sheppard’s Business Interiors partnered with CBRE, Soraya Consulting, and Children’s Hospital & Medical Center to furnish the new West Omaha Specialty Pediatric Clinic, an expanded location supporting a wide range of pediatric specialties.

The project required a flexible, high-performing furniture solution to support multiple disciplines, including specialty care, radiology, and other outpatient services, within a coordinated clinical environment. SBI provided Steelcase furniture along with partner manufacturer solutions to meet the needs of caregivers, staff, and patients across exam rooms, clinical areas, and support spaces.

The furnishings were selected to support efficiency, durability, and comfort in a fast-paced healthcare setting while maintaining a warm, welcoming experience for families. A soft, calming palette of blues, greens, beige, and white helps reinforce a sense of ease throughout the space.

Hubbard Center for Children

This project highlighted the collaboration between SBI and Steelcase in delivering innovative, custom wall solutions. V.I.A. was selected as the modular wall system for its exceptional acoustical performance, setting the foundation for a high-quality, functional interior.

The space presented unique architectural features, including a 45° angled concrete floor and a continuous radiator box along the office perimeter, creating a complex installation challenge. Working closely with Steelcase, SBI developed a precision cut kit that aligned perfectly with the architectural lines, enabling a seamless installation of the V.I.A. system. The result is a visually striking, tailor-made wall solution that enhances the space while maintaining superior acoustics.
